Logbook Servicing

Whenever you buy a new car, the manufacturer provides you with a warranty which covers you from the cost of any parts failures. The warranty is only valid, however, if you have your car regularly serviced by a certified mechanic, according to the manufacturer’s specifications.

A lot of people think they have to have their car serviced by the dealer’s workshop, or they’ll lose their warranty. It’s actually illegal for manufacturers to discriminate based on choice of repairer, so you can use whichever workshop you like as long as they are certified for logbook servicing.
